A Photo Day for TERROS and CARF
When CARF, the international human services accrediting organization, asks for a favor, the response is likely to be “yes.” That’s what John Greenawalt said when CARF asked if TERROS would help them provide offices and staff for an all-day photo shoot. CARF is enhancing its web site and wanted TERROS, a CARF accredited behavioral health organization, to assist with the project. John put his organizational skills to work finding meeting rooms and identifying 15 to 20 TERROS staff volunteers who would be photographed in typical meetings with seven CARF surveyors.
Professional photographers, a “stager,” marketing managers from CARF, and John set up simulations of an accreditation visit including the all important exit interview when the surveyors present their findings of compliance with their rigorous program standards. The day went smoothly, the TERROS acting troupe was photogenic and everyone had fun.
The CARF web site is visited by human service agencies from all over the world, by state and federal agencies, insurance companies and by consumers looking for quality providers. TERROS will be acknowledged as the accredited organization in the CARF web site photos providing name recognition and publicity for TERROS.
